Finance Lead/Analyst

⭐️ Schedule: Full-Time, GMT (London) hours
⭐️ Role Type: Independent Contractor
⭐️ Rate: ₱600/hour (starting, based on experience)

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Finance Lead/Analyst with deep UK accounting experience especially UK Taxation, VAT, and HMRC compliance. If you’ve worked with UK-based entities and know your way around SPVs, Xero, and VAT filings, this is your seat at the table.

You'll play a critical role in helping drive financial accuracy, investor confidence, and tax compliance across our portfolio of UK legal entities. Join a remote-first team where your insights and leadership directly shape operations.

What You'll Do

• Financial Reporting & Business Analysis

  • Prepare monthly P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

  • Run variance analysis, forecasting, and modeling

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders & investors

• UK Tax, VAT & Compliance

  • Own all VAT filings and submission processes

  • Ensure HMRC compliance across UK entities and SPVs

  • Liaise directly with UK accountants to meet deadlines

• Billing, Accounts Receivable & Credit Control

  • Support tenant billing and improve credit control practices

  • Lead on escalated tenant collections and enforce standing orders

  • Track accounts receivable and support cash flow improvements

• Systems, Tools & Optimization

  • Own financial systems: Xero, Re-Leased, and CRM tools

  • Identify inefficiencies and lead automation/process fixes

• Strategic Support & Ad Hoc Projects

  • Assist with lease restructures, new property onboarding, budgeting, and profitability analysis

  • Support the CFO and UK leadership with financial decision-making

About You:
 

• 6+ years in Finance/Accounting

• Hands-on experience with UK taxation, VAT, and HMRC rules

• Strong command of Xero and Excel/Google Sheets

• Confident communicator and remote-first operator

• Knowledge of UK financial standards, SPV structures, and reporting norms

• Legally able to work in the Philippines as an Independent Contractor

Bonus Points for:

• Experience in UK real estate finance or property management

• Familiarity with Re-Leased or similar platforms

• Experience mentoring junior finance staff

• BI/reporting tools or advanced modeling experience
